Not a whole lot of exciting things going on this week.  Early season college hoops, nhl and nba are only 15 so games through their marathons, so I’m just waiting for the weekend here on Wednesday.  OSU and Michigan followed by the Oklahoma/Texas Tech Nightcap… Looking forward to it!!!

Well, I guess when you have 6 weeks in office left and your approval rating is -23%... you make friends with Arizona St., so you have somewhere to drink in January

Let me start by apologizing for the lack of new content.  I’ve been swamped of late at work, mix in having family in town and all and all, being occupied by other things in my life (I know it’s hard to believe).  So since my last post we have elected a new President, Texas Tech continues to win, Penn St lost a game to prevent more big 10 bashing in the coming weeks, and I finally got out to see a movie (Role Models, go see it).  Baseball’s free agency period is starting tonight at midnight and Manny is laughing at a 3 year $60 million offer, officially making Scott Boras the devil.  MLB as a whole should agree to not negotiate with any of Boras’ clients, cuz he’s one of the worst things in the world.  He makes the game worse, one of the few people in sports that makes a league worse without being associated with a franchise.  I’ve been able to catch a couple sporting events in the past week.  I was at the NASCAR race, where it rained in the 1st time in Phoenix 90+ days and we had an annoying dust storm.  Nothing like watching cars turn left as you have some guys back-fat on your knees and your spit resembles mud.  Glad we only stayed for a part of the race.  I also was able to the Suns game last night, where Skip-to-Lou and Matt Barnes could not suppress their inner thug traits.  Nash slipped in the scramble, looking like a white boxer hitting the canvas, as Shaq ultimately parted everyone like he was breaking up a fight between his kids.  The Rockets cruised to the win, but it’s been nice to get out of the apartment do some things other than work.  So enjoy the weekend, and look for things getting back to normal here come Monday.

Arlen Specter is officially my least liked politician.  Kinda an oxymoron, but why are 13 senators spending their time harassing Roger Goodell?  Writing a letter, no word if it was strongly worded, saying that the Commish should show more games for free.  I guess since everything is on the up and up the senators have nothing else to do, like work on the economy or anything.

So apparently Marshall sees no need for room beyond the endzone.  Houston should write a strongly word letter disagreeing with Marshall.

There will be no cowbell this weekend... thank god
